April is poetry month. So Mrs. Garcia's first grade class, along with their Book Buddies, Mrs. Barone's fifth grade class, read poems together on April 7. The Book Buddies have been meeting every other week to read different types of books. So far, the students have enjoyed sharing their own favorites as well as books on space and this month poetry books. After the buddies finished being inspired by published poets, they wrote poems about spring. We're looking forward to sharing our own poems on Wednesday April 29, for Poem in Your Pocket Day!
