Yes, Unilever Research did conduct an experiment right here at EVG, and they did find germs! One second-grade class was told to wash their hands thoroughly. (They had a sink in their classroom, so it was an easy choice.) The other second-grade class was not allowed to wash. In fact, one student actually coughed right into her hand! Next each child placed his/her hand into the special gel in a giant Petri dish. What a lesson they learned after they actually saw how the bacteria had grown! The children will definitely be washing their hands before lunch....and they will not need to be told to do so.
