Neptune is a gas giant. It has a small rocky core surrounded by liquids and gases. The planet surface has a Great Dark Spot and a Small Dark Spot, both huge storms with wind speeds of over 1,000 miles per hour!


Triton is the largest moon of Neptune.  It has the coldest temperature in the solar system, -391°F!
It is unusual for another reason.  It orbits Neptune in the opposite direction that Neptune rotates.
