Hold the shift key while you draw a red line along the Equator, the 0° line of latitude.
Label this line. The Equator divides the Earth into Northern and Southern hemispheres.

Hold the shift key while you draw a blue line along the Prime Meridian, the 0° line of longitude.
Label this line. The Prime Meridian divides the Earth into Eastern and Western hemispheres.

Now you can locate places better.
Locations may be located either north or south of the Equator
or east or west of the Prime Meridian.
