Thanksgiving
November  2008

First grade classes have been studying all about the first Thanksgiving in their social studies classes. And they have become great little chefs, too! Under the direction of their teachers, Mrs. Jaggi, Ms. Chrisanthopoulos, Ms. Garcia, and Ms. Bui they prepared their own Thanksgiving feast, down to the pies they enjoyed for dessert.

Our EVG School Yearly Food Drive is always a success because Edgewater people are so generous. All donations will go to the Edgewater Food Pantry to help families in our community. Thank you all for donating, and thanks to Mrs. DeSanto-Baratta and Ms. Kosiotas for organizing this event. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Just like the Pilgrims and the Indians, Ms. Cardino and Ms LaGreca's kindergarten classes came together to celebrate Thanksgiving. The Pilgrims (Ms. Cardino's class) "sailed" to Plymouth (Ms. KaGreca's classroom) on the Mayflower. When they arrived, they shook hands and became friends. They enjoyed their Thanksgiving feast together: turkey, stuffing, and vegetables, and learned a lot about the real first Thanksgiving!
