Spelling Bee - Grade 6

| The
sixth graders accepted the challenge presented to them by Mrs.
Reiffe, and the Spelling Bee once again was an exciting event. We
watched nervously as Maliha scribbled each word with her index
finger onto her left hand. It obviously worked. She was the winner!
Tala was the runner-up. Everyone did a great job spelling some very
tricky words. Do you know the difference between angel and angle?
How about muumuu, yacht, humorous, Braille, or solemn? Some other
tough words were kayak, scaffold, consensus, mosque, cryptic, and
salami.
Congratulations to everyone for a great effort! And thanks also go to our judges, Mrs. Perl, Mrs. Furiness, and Ms. Barry who assisted Mrs. Reiffe. On March 14, 2009, Maliha will be representing our school at Farleigh Dickinson University in the semi-final Spelling Bee. We all wish her good luck!
