     I would like to have a new pet. I have a cat and a dog. Goldfish and birds would be good pets. Birthdays are fun. Maybe I will get a hamster or a rabbit.

MAKING BUTTER

     Grandmother showed me how to make butter. First she got a jar with a lid and some whipping cream. She filled the jar half full of cream. She put the lid on tight. Next she shook the jar until there were yellow lumps in the liquid. Her dog was taking a nap. Finally she poured off the liquid and rinsed the butter. Last of all she spread the butter on hot toast for us to eat. Yummy!
