Star Student of the Week:
Homework- homework this week will be on the Letter Aa and Nn this week. This week is a review week of Aa and Nn. Homework will be given out Monday-Thursday, there is no homework on Friday!
Our classroom is in need of magazines for various projects. If you have any old magazines at home that you would like to donate, please bring them in ASAP!
Phonics- We are reviewing letters Aa and Nn. Our class is blending the sounds of both letters to get "an" words. We have added green words an and Nan to our word wall. We are making word families for an this week.
Red Words: a, the, that, my Practice writing, spelling, and reading these words at home. Flashcards for our red words will be given out this week. Practice flashcards once a week!
*Any small books that go home in your child's folder make sure they put it in their treasure chest. Every book is a treasure.*
Make sure to read to your child every night! 15 minutes of reading each night makes a big difference!!!!
Math- we will be working on identifying coins, patterns, and making a number chart. Practice counting from 0-20 each night. If you can count higher that is great!!
Make sure to practice your phone number, address, and birthday each night. I will be testing your child on it before parent conferences.
Science- We will be exploring pumpkins this week and learning how they grow. Our class will be dissecting a pumpkin!
Social Studies- we will be discussing school helpers and Halloween Safety.
Please be sure to check your child's folder every night for any important papers.
