We solved Pocket Problems. We made story problems in order to develop the understanding of addition and subtraction. In class we have gone over and practiced writing numbers 0-7, do continue to practice at home. HW: Practice writing the #2 and 3.2 Monster Squeeze is for fun. |

This week, we will be studying the letter Mm and the red word is. Today, we worked on blending, reading, and writing short /a / words. We also made a rebus book titled I Am Sam! Practice reading this book at home. HW: Practice writing their first and last names using upper and lower case letters. Read to your child at least 15 minutes every night. Review letter identification and the high-frequency words ("red" words); I, and, that, the, a, and my daily. We have covered the following letters; Nn, Aa, Dd and Ss. Practice writing the sight words and the letters Aa, Dd, Nn, Ss, and Mm. |

We continued our discussion on how Thanksgiving has changed and wrote about what our favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner was. We are still learning our address and phone numbers. Please practice at home. I will be asking again. |

We did two experiments. One was on how rain was made. Students observed how water condensed on the tin pan with ice from the cup of hot water underneath it. The second experiment was to determine which hot water bottle would stay warmer, the one with the sock or the one without. |
