Dump Pizza

| In honor
of Earth Day, Ms. Corcoran's 4th grade class made "Garbage Dump
Pizzas". First they learned a very surprising fact...that paper,
which of course is recyclable, makes up 34% of landfill waste! They
also learned the percentages of each different material in
landfills. The students made pie charts by converting %'s to
degrees. Next, they decorated the Garbage Dump Pizzas with different
trash materials and used them to teach first graders about landfills
and the importance of the 3R's!
You must admit, those pizzas look so great! So why doesn't anyone want to eat them? |
